At Lakeside, genuine life change—spiritual growth—is one of our core values.  We believe that as followers of Jesus, it is important that we continue to grow spiritually throughout our lifetime.  We also believe that life change is best facilitated in small groups.  Why?  Simply, God created us to live in community.  We were created to have a relationship with Him and with others.  Genuine life change occurs within the context of relationships.  We encourage everyone to move from sitting in rows on Sunday morning to joining a circle of friends in a small group.

If you are new to Lakeside, joining a small group is a great way to meet new people and get connected.  A small group is a community of 12-20 people who gather weekly in an environment where they can make friends and encourage each other in their journey of faith.    

A small group is a place to:

• meet new people
• make friends
• grow in faith
• use your gifts
• serve together
• have fun

We recognize that life can be busy and complicated so at Lakeside our small groups run on a semester system.  There are three semesters per year—Autumn (Oct-Dec), Winter (Jan-April), and Summer (May-Aug).  Each semester is 10-12 weeks in length.  You decide which semester(s) best suit your lifestyle and commitments.  We encourage everyone to be a part of a small group at least one semester per year.

Sign-ups for the Autumn semester begin on September 12 and run until Oct 3. It’s easy to sign up for a group.

Lakeside Prayer Ministry

Matthew 21:13 (NRSV) He (Jesus) said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer’…”

Prayer Opportunities:

• Sunday a.m. during both services. Join us for a strategic prayer time in the Prayer Room as we seek to pray for the Sunday ministries and those involved, aware that God is the Source of all that we are and have.
• Monday 6:45-9 p.m. Prayer gathering for Celebrate Recovery. A time of intercessory prayer specifically focused on Celebrate Recovery issues.
• Wednesday 9:30-11:30 a.m. Prayer Time for all of the Lakeside family. We come together to pray for all of the Lakeside family, as well as specific requests from individuals. This is a time of building friendships as well as a time of prayer.
• Special Prayer Focus Times to be announced during the year.
