Griefwalk Volunteer Information Session

September 10 7:00 pm  |  Lakeside Church

7654 Conservation Road, Guelph, ON, Canada

Are you looking for a meaningful way to support those who are grieving? Join us for an Information Session to learn how the Griefwalk program walks alongside people in their time of loss, and how you can be part of this important ministry.

The Information Session will:
– Introduce you to the core elements of the Griefwalk Program.
– Grow your understanding of the grief experience.
– Give you enough information for you to determine if you want to be part of the Griefwalk program.
– Discuss next steps for Griefwalk volunteers.

Whether you have lots of time or just a little, there’s a place for you. From group support to behind-the-scenes help, there’s a role for every heart – no experience is required (full training provided).

Come discover how your time, presence, and heart can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

This is an opportunity for those interested in volunteering – whether that’s a few hours a month, a seasonal project or on a more regular basis. Many of our volunteers are retired or semi-retired individuals looking for meaningful ways to give back, while others are navigating a new life season and searching for purpose. Some have a background in caregiving, ministry, education, or counselling, but no professional experience is required. What matters most is a compassionate heart, a listening ear, and a willingness to be present.
