Griefwalk Facilitator & Content Training Session

Interested in volunteering with Griefwalk as a Support Group Facilitator? 

This training session is one of two required trainings to become an approved facilitator (the Facilitator & Hosting Skills training is also required being held in February 2026).

This session focuses on Griefwalk’s 8-week Bereavement Loss Support Group program and is designed to help you feel confident, prepared, and supported as you step into facilitation.

In this training, participants will learn to:

  • Understand the core elements of our 8-week bereavement support group sessions
  • Identify the purpose and desired outcome of each week
  • Practice and strengthen facilitation skills with greater competence and ease
  • Collaborate with others to explore practical ways of using the content during group sessions
  • Use the weekly handouts and resources effectively to support participant learning and discussion
