New Families
Are you new to Lakeside or do you have a new addition to your family? Let us know so we can make it easy for you to check your kids in to the program on Sunday morning.
We’re all about building up young hearts and minds while sharing the incredible love of Jesus in fun, creative, and meaningful ways.
Each Sunday morning, kids from infants to Grade 5 gather in a safe, welcoming environment designed just for them. Our amazing team of staff and volunteers is passionate about making every child feel seen, known, and valued. Whether it’s through music, crafts, videos, storytelling, or hands-on activities, we create experiences that are full of joy and tailored to each child’s unique needs.
We believe that faith should be exciting, engaging, and something kids can carry into every part of their lives. That’s why we focus on helping them understand who God is, how much He loves them, and what it means to follow Jesus every day.
We also love partnering with families, because we know that when church and home work together, incredible things happen!
Our hope is that every child who comes through our doors will grow up to love God and love others.
Come join the fun - we can’t wait to meet you!
It starts at check-in. From the moment you arrive, we aim to make church a positive and fun experience for your kids (from birth to Grade 5). Our team will help you check-in using our secure computer system and then you can share in musical worship together in the auditorium.
At the coffee break, children will head to Lakeside Kids.
If you’d like to stay with your child, we also offer a family-friendly space for parents/caregivers to watch the service and tend to childcare needs.
Please arrive a few minutes early to check in (especially if this is your first time).

We are continuing our Cheeky Pandas series in Lakeside Kids! This playful, story-based curriculum is designed especially for our youngest learners, helping them explore faith in ways that are engaging, simple, and fun. Through songs, short videos, hands-on activities, and guided conversations, children are learning how God helps us show love, kindness, patience, and more in everyday moments.
Each week builds on what they’ve already been discovering, giving them opportunities to practice being good friends, making kind choices, and knowing that Jesus is always with them. Our heart is that every child feels safe, known, and excited to come, while beginning to understand how much they are loved by God.
The Big Idea Weekly:
Week 1: Goodness: Following Jesus means choosing what is right and loving our neighbour well.
Week 2: Faithfulness: God is faithful, and He teaches us to keep our promises.
Week 3: Gentleness: We can be gentle with our words and actions just like Jesus.
Week 4: Self-Control: God helps us make wise choices even when it’s hard.
Monthly Bible Verse: The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
- Galatians 5:22–23
Conversation Starter #1: Did you make a kind or gentle choice today?
Conversation Starter #2: Was there something hard today where you needed help to make a good choice? (Follow-up: “Who helped you? Did you ask Jesus to help you?)

We’re continuing our Look of Love series in Lakeside Kids, exploring how the fruit of the Spirit shapes the way we live and love others. This next part of the series focuses on faithfulness, gentleness, self-control and love — helping kids see what these qualities look like in everyday life.
As we learn together, we’re reminding kids that when we focus on Jesus and grow closer to Him, the Holy Spirit becomes more present and active in our lives. We begin to choose love over hate, joy over frustration, peace over anger, and so much more. These aren’t always easy choices — they require dependence on God and a growing understanding that life isn’t about “me first,” but about putting God first.
Through Bible teaching, group discussion, and interactive activities, kids are not only learning what these qualities mean, but how to live them out at home, at school, and with friends. Our hope is that as the series continues, kids will begin to recognize the beautiful ways the Holy Spirit is shaping their hearts and lives.
