Welcome to Lakeside Kids
We’re all about building up young hearts and minds while sharing the incredible love of Jesus in fun, creative, and meaningful ways.
We believe that faith should be exciting, engaging, and something kids can carry into every part of their lives. That’s why we focus on helping them understand who God is, how much He loves them, and what it means to follow Jesus every day.
Each Sunday morning, kids from infants to Grade 5 gather in a safe, welcoming environment designed just for them. Whether it’s through music, crafts, videos, storytelling, or hands-on activities, we create experiences that are full of joy and tailored to each child’s unique needs.
We also love partnering with families, because we know that when church and home work together, incredible things happen!
Our hope is that every child who comes through our doors will grow up to love God and love others.

Summer Sign-Up
Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, student, empty nester, or just someone who can smile, welcome a family, or play a game - you can make a real difference this summer by signing up to serve just once this summer.
We believe that faith should be exciting, engaging, and something kids can carry into every part of their lives. That’s why we focus on helping them understand who God is, how much He loves them, and what it means to follow Jesus every day.
What to Expect
It starts at check-in. From the moment you arrive, we aim to make church a positive and fun experience for your kids (from birth to Grade 5). Our team will help you check-in using our secure computer system and then you can share in musical worship together in the auditorium.
At the coffee break, children will head to Lakeside Kids.
If you’d like to stay with your child, we also offer a family-friendly space for parents/caregivers to watch the service and tend to childcare needs.
Plan to arrive a few minutes early to check in (especially if this is your first time).
What We're Talking About This Month
Preschool
In June, our preschoolers will continue our Praise Party series as we discover more ways we can praise God every day! Through stories, music, movement, games, crafts, and prayer, children will learn that worship is more than just singing — it’s how we live, love others, and celebrate God together.
Our goal is to help children discover that they can praise God with their words, actions, friendships, kindness, and whole lives!
Monthly Big Idea: We can praise God with everything we do!
Monthly Memory Verse: “I’m gonna praise God my whole life long! I’ll sing to God for as long as I’m alive!” Psalm 146:1–2
What We’ll Be Talking About Each Week:
Week 1: We can praise God by following Jesus.
Week 2: We praise God when we help others.
Week 3: Church is a place where we praise God together.
Week 4: We can praise God with our whole lives!
Parent Conversation Starter
Throughout June, encourage your child to notice how worship can happen in everyday moments — through kindness, helping others, praying, sharing, learning about Jesus, coming to church, and being thankful. As a family, look for simple opportunities each week to praise God together with your words, actions, and hearts.
Grades 1-5
Monthly Big Idea: Jesus is the hero of God’s rescue story — and he invites us to be part of it!
Monthly Memory Verse: “Because of what the Son has done, we have been set free. Because of Him, all our sins have been forgiven.” Colossians 1:14 (NIRV)
What We’ll Be Talking About Each Week:
Week 1: Jesus rescued us.
Week 2: Jesus is the main character in God’s story.
Week 3: Jesus is alive and the story didn’t end.
Week 4: Jesus invites us into the story.
Parent Conversation Starter
Throughout this series, encourage your child to think about how God’s rescue story connects to their everyday life. Talk together about how Jesus rescues us, how the Bible points to him, and how we are invited to follow him and share his love with others. Ask your child where they see themselves becoming part of God’s story at home, at school, and with friends.
Communion
for Kids
Communion can be celebrated by anyone who follows Jesus, but we believe parents know best when their child is ready to participate.
